The Frankfort Police Department sponsors special crime prevention events, including:
National Night Out Against Crime
An annual crime prevention event that heightens crime and drug prevention awareness; strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and sends a message to criminals that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime. This national program is announced annually and posted on the Village Calendar of Events.
Bike/Rollerblade Rodeo for Kids
Presented by the Frankfort Fire Department & the Frankfort Police Department. Bicycle safety inspections, safety course, bicycle registration, prizes. This program is posted on the Village Calendar of Events.
Citizens Police Academy
Learn about crime scene processing, the history of policing, or criminal law? Are you interested in learning more about the influence of Club Drugs in the community or Community Oriented Policing? This twelve (12) week program for residents is held on consecutive Thursdays from 7:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m. This program schedule is announced annually and is posted on the Village Calendar of Events.
Cell Phones for Shelters Drop Off
The Frankfort Police Department is accepting any old cell phones. Accessories are not needed. You may drop them off at the front office located at 20602 Lincoln-Way Lane between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The proceeds are donated to domestic violence shelters.
