The Frankfort Police Department sponsors special Community Crime Prevention Events, including:
National Night Out Against Crime
An annual crime prevention event that heightens crime and drug prevention awareness; strengthens neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships; and sends a message to criminals that our neighborhoods are organized and fighting back against crime. This national program is announced annually and posted on the Village Calendar of Events.
Bike/Rollerblade Rodeo for Kids
Presented by the Frankfort Fire Department & the Frankfort Police Department. Bicycle safety inspections, safety course, bicycle registration, prizes. This program is posted on the Village Calendar of Events.
Citizens Police Academy
This hands-on experience begins on Thursday, March 3, 2011 at 7:00 PM and continues for 12 weeks. Each class takes place on Thursday night through May 19. Topics may include: a K-9 demonstration, a tour of Will County Jail, a taser demonstration, a trip to the County Morgue, and much more! Spaces are limited and fill up fast! Cell Phones for Shelters Drop Off
The Frankfort Police Department is accepting any old cell phones. Accessories are not needed. You may drop them off at the front office located at 20602 Lincoln-Way Lane between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. The proceeds are donated to domestic violence shelters.
Food Pantry Donations for the Holidays
The Frankfort Police Department is accepting donations of food items for the Frankfort Food Pantry. You may drop off food items at the front office located at 20602 Lincoln-Way Lane between the hours of 8:00 am and 5:00 pm. Download list of food items needed here.
